Roman Catholic Church in the Futok District

Roman Catholic Church in the Futok District: red-brick neo-Gothic church with a patterned spire

This impressive building was erected between 1928 and 1929 with funds from the Bohn family, in memory of Michael and Jakob Bohn. The materials used to build the church were brought from the renowned Bohn factory. The plans were drawn up by the architect Hans Jänner, born in Jimbolia, who designed a Neo-Gothic church. Inside the church there are several paintings of great value: the altar painting depicting St. Michael the Archangel, the patron of the church, and the two paintings by the renowned painter Stefan Jäger (1877–1962).
