The Jimbolia lakes lie on the way out of town, on the road leading to Comloșu Mare. They are in fact man-made lakes, the result of excavations carried out by the former Ceramica factory in search of the clay needed to make bricks. They cover areas of up to 7 hectares and reach depths of up to 25–30 metres. They are a favourite place for anglers (the ponds are stocked with various species of carp, pike and catfish) and an ideal spot for recreation on hot summer days.
