Roman Catholic Church, Kikinda: painting of the Last Supper in a stucco frame

The Roman Catholic church was built in the period 1808–1811 with the support of the Austrian Emperor Francis I, while the construction of the clay-walled chapel in the churchyard had begun as early as 1760. The chapel was dedicated to St. Anthony. Since the first clergy of the church were Franciscans, a Franciscan monastery was built next to it. The church was consecrated on 7 June 1812. The four church bells (in E-flat major) were installed in 1925.

The white altar is made of marble from Aranđelovac, and the particular charm of the church is attributed to its organ. The four paintings depicting events from the Gospel are the work of Keri Laszlo and sons.
