Holy Trinity Monastery

The monastery dedicated to the Holy Trinity, together with its residential annex, was erected in 1887 in the Baroque style as an endowment of Melanija Nikolić, née Gajčić (1829–1912), who is also buried in the monastery.

She was a rich heiress who had the church, a chapel and a monastery with a residence built after her grandson had died. It stood on the site of today's Đura Jakšić Primary School.

The monastery began functioning in 1887 as a monastery for men, and by a decree of the bishop the Holy Trinity was turned into a women's monastery.
